Dear Bob,
We returned yesterday from our visit to
South Africa and I must tell you that one of our highlights was our visit
with the soccer team(s) that LUYAA has helped. The kids surprised us and all
showed up with the shirts, cleats and equipment that LUYAA soccer has so
generously helped them with. They also had a tribal dance performance to say
thanks. I so wish you could be there.
Attached is the thank you letter that the coach and all the kids signed.
Also some pictures.
I can honestly say that keeping these kids busy with a positive alternative
such as soccer, keeps them from turning to crime. They are growing up in
desperate circumstances and yet have a very positive outlook on life.
We brought as many cleats, balls and shirts as we could, but there are still
several kids without cleats.
