Parents, LUYAA Soccer is proud to announce that we have been accepted as a WAGS
(Washington Area Girls Soccer) member for the Fall of 2007 Soccer season! WAGS
is the premier soccer league in the Baltimore-Washington Metro area and LUYAA
Soccer is only the second Frederick County soccer program currently awarded
membership, along with FC Frederick.
We have the opportunity to field teams in WAGS beginning this Fall for the
following age groups:
U9
U10
U11
U12
Our U13 team is wait listed and may still indeed be selected for a Fall 2007
slot.
Though we have slots available to us at these age groups, it is not likely that
we will field teams at each of the above age groups in our first season of
membership.
There are some additional fees involved to the parents of the girls who
eventually play on these teams, but we anticipate that they will not be steep.
I would like to recognize our Girls Coordinator, John Cunha, who lead the effort
to gain membership in WAGS. A large part was played by Coach Paul McArthur who
played a major role in the application process and the presentation to the WAGS
Board. Coach Paul Riley also lent assistance to the effort.
