Tournaments
In
2007, the girls’ lacrosse program held a very successful LUYAA
Lacrosse Festival, where all teams played home games on 1 day at
the same location. The festival included games, prizes, and
concessions. Fun was had by all!
Last year we planned to bring this festival to the entire LUYAA
lax program, but we were unfortunately at the mercy of mother
nature, and rained out. We plan to hold it this year, with a
rain date scheduled.
Also,
each team has the opportunity to participate in 1 season
tournament included in your registration fee. Teams may choose
to participate in additional tournaments on a pay-as-you-go
basis.
Girls Tournaments
U9 and U11-
These age brackets typically participate in the Western Maryland
(WMYLC) tournament, but other tournaments may be available this
year..
U13 and U15-
Once again we will attend the extremely popular and successful
Cherry Blossom Festival, in Washington, D.C.,
hosted by The Potomac Chapter of US Lacrosse.
Your
registration fee this year includes both the tournament and
transportation costs for all players. Transportation may be
available for parents at an additional cost.
This
is a festival -no tournament champion is named and scores are
not recorded. Games are played on the National Mall in
Washington, DC on fields located next to the reflecting pool
between the Lincoln and World War II Memorials.

Boys Tournaments
SMYLA Tournament
Boys teams [Juniors (U15), Midgets (U13), PeeWees (U11), and
Bantams (U9)]
will participate in the SMYLA end of season tournament in Bowie,
MD.
Each team will also have an option to participate in additional
tournaments after the season.
