information)
Jerseys can either be purchased or borrowed, either way requires a check to
be completed to LUYAA LAX prior to receiving the jersey:
Purchase option:
- Pay for the jersey
- This cost will also include a screen printed name on the back of the
jersey
- This jersey should be good for a number of subsequent seasons/ years
Borrow option:
- Provide check made out to LUYAA before obtaining the jersey
- The player cannot add a name to the jersey or damage the jersey in
anyway as this will be lent to families in subsequent seasons.
- After the tournament(s)/end of season for the player, the jersey can be
returned to LUYAA LAX and the check will be returned to the family
(therefore no costs to the family).
- If this jersey is not returned within the predefined timeline (TBD) the
check will be deposited and
the jersey will be kept by the family/ player.
- If during the season the player changes their mind and wants to keep the
jersey, the family can simply contact the area coordinator for formal
notification and deposit of check.
Shorts:
- Shorts will be made available for purchase only! No borrowing.
- U13/Midget and U15/Junior ‘A’ team players typically are required to
have these shorts for a full uniform; all other players (Bantams, PeeWees,
Midgets B and Junior B) have the option to purchase shorts.
- There will be a very limited availability and sizes. This will be
available first come first serve only, as we cannot hold an extra inventory
of shorts.

end of Feb; more information to come.

This is fun, low stress and educationally focused season. There is no
body checking. The games are played on modified fields (typically smaller;
depending on the needs/preferences of the two teams playing). Coaches are
out on the field coaching during the games. It is a great way to get into
the sport and learn a great deal while having a lot of fun!
** With numbers permitting, we will try to field an A and B team; A players
will typically be experienced players that will play competitive games, while B
players will have a more recreationally focused season. The division that we are
in is keen on developing true B teams ,for each club and level, to play each
other and would like to have the B teams play on the same day/location as the A
teams. This will be completely dependent on the fields allocated to us by our
organizations. More information to follow as it becomes available.
League
LUYAA boys play in the SMYLA (Southern Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association)
league. It provides us with a quality level of lacrosse and fun competition/
competitors.
SMYLA has had two more southern clubs join and as a result has restructured
the divisions.
North Division - 2 conferences
- Conference 1: Urbana, Linganore, Damascus, Olney
- Conference 2: Rockville, MVSA, Burtonsville, Bowie
South Division - 2 conferences
- Conference 1: Calvert, Dunkirk, Prince Frederick, PG
- Conference 1: Mechanicsville, S. Calvert, St Mary’s 1 & St Mary’s 2.
What does that means to us? We play each team in our conference twice and
each team in our division/sister conference once. Go to either the Linganore or
Urbana specific boys tabs for draft game schedules.
Directions
This will be distributed through your teams when available.
